Tony

Tony was born and raised in Montgomery County, Maryland. He was fascinated by animals at a young age. He grew up being surrounded by different types of animals as pets, which included turtles, hamsters, and birds. As he got older, he found his passion for dogs. He spent time caring for his friends’ dogs. His parents never allowed him to have one, so he spent as much time as he could with his friends’ dogs. Tony loves all types of dogs –any breed and any size. He is a proud owner of a golden retriever, Lela. During his spare time, he enjoy hiking in different parks and camping with his friends and Lela.

Work History
He served the United States Marine Corps (USMC) from 2011-2015. His passion for dogs grew throughout serving the USMC by occasionally working with the K9 unit. After his time in the USMC, he pursued his passion in his spare time. He studied everything about the basics of caring for a dog. After he was confident in his knowledge, he adopted a golden retriever named Lela. He was able to put his knowledge to use and experienced the hardships and joys of raising a dog. In 2016, he was hired as a special police at the Smithsonian Museum in Washington D.C. He worked there until he found the opportunity to begin his career as a dog trainer. In June 2018, he began working at Off Leash K9 Training which involved extensive hands on training and shadowing. He has worked with multiple dogs of different ages, breeds, and temperament. He wants to spread his knowledge and educate the community to help further improve the lives of their loyal companions.
